Matches against Dnepr in Mogilev have recently become a true challenge for BATE. In two away previous games against Mogilevites the Yellow Blues conceded three goals (3-3 and 1-3 loss). This time Dnepr's mood was obviously good as Andrei Skorobogatsko's side strolled to UEFA Europa League 3rd qualification round.
BATE had similar feelings after their trip to Iceland as the Borisovites got an easy win. In Mogilev the line up had a lot of differences from the Icelandic variant with Gutor, Radzkov, Yurevich, Pavlov, Nekhaychik and Kontsevoy.
The Yellow Blues played a good match and controlled the situation from the very beginning. Though the hosts had a couple of scarce moments in the beginning, they did not manage to convert them into goals.
BATE's opener came from Bressan. Nekhaychik and Pavlov passed well in the left flank and addressed the ball to the Brazilian playmaker. With a deflection off defender the ball found his way home.
After the break the River Lions started well and delivered a lot of pressure on Gutor's net. But instead of conceding a goal, BATE scored their second. Pavlov made a wonderful 30-meter run, played one-two with Baga and netted the ball. For Alex it was a special moment as for several year he played for Dnepr and was born in this region.
After that Gutor had to demonstrate his skills several times, and courageously denied all efforts of the home team for a comeback. BATE continues to lead the table with a 5-point margin from the second place.

— First of all I would like to congratulate Dnepr with their European success. Winning in European tournaments is very important as we all gain rating points for Belarus. As for the game, it was very tense and no one could predict the result before the final whistle. I am happy that we managed to take important win.
Andrei SKOROBOGATSKO (FC Dnepr Mogilev):
— We moved well today and showed good football. Unfortunately, we did not use our chances. It is good that before our match against Banik we managed to play with such a powerful opponent. It was a kind of dress rehearsal for us. We wish BATE and ourselves to go as far as possible in the European matches.
